Enrolment in studies

1. Go to Pakki and open your PSP.
2. Check that your PSP contains all the studies you want to enrol in.
3. Add missing studies to your PSP via the study search. (Instructions for adding studies.)
4. Go to the enrolments tab. You will see a list of course modules you can enrol in.
5. Select the course offering you want to enrol in and click “enrol”.

If the offering has small groups, select your preferred group from the dropdown and then enrol.

You can also enrol in most cross-institution studies offered by other higher education institutions through Pakki.

Please note that:

• You can also enrol in studies that are not in your PSP, but we do not recommend it. In that case the studies remain outside your PSP and will appear on your degree transcript under the heading “Studies not placed in the PSP structure”.
• If you want to cancel your enrolment, do so in Pakki during the enrolment period. If the enrolment period has ended, you can cancel your enrolment by contacting the teacher.
• If your study right is ending, the enrolment may appear greyed out in your PSP. This often concerns pathway students or degree students who have enrolled in the next semester’s studies or whose study right is ending.

You can also enrol in studies using the Tuudo mobile app:

• Search studies by name, code or using ready-made filters.
• You can also search using your group’s “studies” group code.
• Enrol by pressing the “enrol” button
• You can mark studies as followed. They will then appear in the timetable even if you have not yet enrolled in the studies.

The responsible teacher accepts students to the course offering when the regular enrolment period ends. The teacher confirms the enrolments no later than one week after the enrolment period ends. You can see in Pakki whether your enrolment has been accepted and whether you have been selected for the course offering. Once your enrolment has been accepted, the study schedules will appear in your Laurea Outlook account calendar.

You can participate in a course offering only if you have sufficient prior competence in accordance with the curriculum. You can find the prerequisite requirements for the course offering from the course’s implementation plan. You must ensure that the required prerequisites are met yourself.

Enrolled students are accepted to the course according to the acceptance criteria. Students are selected for the course in order of credits from highest to lowest. Read carefully the Acceptance criteria for AMK studies or Acceptance criteria for YAMK studies before enrolling in studies.

Places on core competence and complementary competence course offerings can also be reserved for cross-institution students, Open AMK students and exchange students.

• Confirm your place on the course offering or project by participating in the first teaching session or by informing the responsible teacher of your absence.
• The teacher may define another method for confirming your place. Confirm your place within a week of the start of the offering.
• The teacher informs all accepted students about the procedure. It is also described in the course implementation plan. Remember to read the implementation plan carefully.

If you cannot participate in the first teaching session or follow the given instructions for a justified reason (e.g. you fall ill), contact the responsible teacher.

Enrolment will be rejected if you have not informed that you will be absent from the start of the course or if the reason for absence cannot be considered justified. In that case another student may be admitted in your place.

If you do not intend to participate in a course offering you have been accepted to, you must cancel your enrolment before the course offering begins. Cancel your enrolment by contacting the responsible teacher. This is important so that a student on the waiting list can take your place.

A course offering or project may be cancelled if there are not enough participants or if an obstacle arises to organising it. The responsible teacher informs affected students about the cancellation.
