The academic year begins on 1 August 2026 and ends on 31 July 2027.

Teaching in autumn 2026 begins no earlier than 17 August 2026 and in spring no earlier than 7 January 2027, according to the course delivery schedule.
The Academic Year 2027–2028
The academic year begins on 1 August 2027 and ends on 31 July 2028.
The enrolment period for the academic year 2027–2028 is 1–30 April 2027.

Teaching in autumn 2027 begins no earlier than 16 August 2027 and in spring 2028 no earlier than 7 January 2028, according to the course delivery schedule.
Enrolment schedules for studies
Laurea offers courses year-round. The preliminary course offering is published annually in September of the previous year, i.e. the 2027 offering will be published in September 2026.
The offering may be adjusted, e.g. based on demand.
Plans for course delivery and the implementation schedules are available online at least two weeks before the start of the enrolment period (see curriculum and timetable tool).
Enrolment periods
Enrolment starts at 08:00 and ends at 23:59.
- Spring 2027 course offering: enrol 23–29 November 2026 (week 48)
- Summer studies 2027: enrol 5–11 April 2027 (week 14)
- Autumn 2027 course offering: enrol 24–30 May 2027 (week 21)
- Spring 2028 course offering: enrol 22–28 November 2027 (week 48)
- Summer studies 2028: enrol 27 March – 2 April 2028 (week 14)
- Autumn 2028 course offering: enrol 22–28 May 2028 (week 21), courses in the academic year 2028–2029
Enrolments are processed within one week of the end of the enrolment period.
Late enrolment
If there is space on a course after the official enrolment period, the enrolment period will be extended. The decision to extend is made per course when enrolments are processed. Late enrolments will be confirmed no later than the week preceding the start of the course.

Update your personal study plan (PSP) in Pakki during October and March. Schedule your study requests in your PSP. The PSP helps to understand the overall structure of your studies and to balance workload across different semesters.

Graduation and graduation ceremonies
The notice of graduation is submitted when all studies required for the degree have been recorded in the student register. The degree certificate is generally issued within three weeks of submitting the notice of graduation.
