Welcome back to your studies!
Please take care of the following matters well in advance at the end of the previous semester when you are returning to your studies:
Enrolment for the academic year
- Check that your user credentials work
- If your password has expired, update it in the IAM portal
- Register as present for the academic year in Pakki (under the lamp icon)
- Returning to studies in January:
- Register as present for the spring semester in November–December
- Book a guidance appointment with your teacher tutor at the beginning of November
- Returning to studies in January:
- Returning to studies in August:
- Register as present for the whole academic year in April
- Book a guidance appointment with your teacher tutor at the beginning of May
- Returning to studies in August:
- Register as present for the academic year in Pakki (under the lamp icon)
- Pay the YTHS health care fee to Kela
Guidance discussion and enrolment in studies
- Use guidance and support
First, review your PSP in Pakki. Check whether there have been changes to the curriculum that affect your PSP. Read the instructions (timetable planning, PSP, timing and enrolment). Draft a preliminary study plan for yourself. - Book a guidance meeting
Book a meeting with your teacher tutor well in advance of the enrolment period (early November or May). You can check your tutor’s name in Pakki under My details -> study details. - Enrol in studies
When your study plan for the coming semester is clear, enrol during the enrolment period, which you can find in the academic year’s schedule. LINK? - If the enrolment period has already ended, contact your teacher tutor or the head of studies
Students who have postponed starting their studies
- Student Services will send a survey in November and April about attendance/absence information – please respond to the survey!
- If you register as present, you will start your studies with a new group
- Your mode of study or campus may change if there is no equivalent new group starting – you will be informed about this

Students who have lost their study entitlement
- If you tried to reactivate your user account but it failed, you may have lost your study entitlement during your absence
- You can check your situation on My StudyInfo or with Student Services
- If the loss of study entitlement is because you forgot to enrol for the academic year, you can apply to have your study entitlement re‑granted (LINK)
