What is studying at Laurea Master School like?
At Laurea Master School the studies are designed to be flexible for different life situations. Studies can be completed alongside work. You are supported in your studies by expert guidance and a multidisciplinary student community. The basis of learning is the Learning by Developing (LbD) model, which enables competence development through practical working-life challenges and supports the strengthening of your expertise.
Studying combines practical tasks, working-life projects and collaborative learning. Depending on the programme, studies are implemented either as blended learning or online studies. Contact teaching in core competence studies averages 1–3 days per month. Contact days emphasize learning together, workshop work and connection to research and development activities. Collaborative learning and applied workshop work require participation in contact days and virtual contact days. Complementary competence studies are mainly conducted online. Studies may include joint scheduled online meetings.
Communal contact days, real working-life projects and the opportunity for international intensive weeks make studying inspiring and meaningful.
