The Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Management (BBA) at Laurea is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a career in business with an international focus in Finland or abroad. A key component of the programme is data-driven decision making and the use of digital tools to generate financial and market insights. You can specialise in digital marketing or financial management, and you can also choose studies from other areas of business management.
The scope of the degree programme is 210 ECTS credits, which is equivalent to 3,5 years of studies. However, depending on your own study schedule and flexibility, you can complete the degree in a shorter time as well.
Graduates have excellent employment opportunities with the majority finding employment after graduation. Students typically work as specialists or entrepreneurs in digital marketing, corporate financial management or other fields.

Core competence studies (150 ECTS) build a strong foundation across the key areas of business:

- Business Communication and Languages
Complementary studies (60 ECTS) follow two recommended paths — Corporate Financial Management (corporate finance, financial planning, BI tools) or Digital Marketing (strategy, content marketing, marketing analytics). You can also take international trade, entrepreneurship, sustainability, HRM, languages, or study at Laurea’s partner universities in Finland or abroad — all without additional tuition fees.
Up to two work placements are integrated into your studies (in Finland or abroad). Your bachelor’s thesis (15 ECTS) is a development project, typically completed with a partner company or organisation.
How will you study?
The programme is delivered as daytime studies at Leppävaara Campus, Mon–Fri 9 am–6 pm, with face-to-face teaching and project work on campus. The campus is easily reached by public transport from the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Laurea’s pedagogical model is Learning by Developing (LbD) — you collaborate with businesses, lecturers and business experts to solve real challenges. A tutor teacher supports you throughout your studies. Recognition of prior learning is possible. Several courses include industry-recognised certifications (Microsoft, Google, SAS) that you can earn alongside your degree.

Eligibility: Upper secondary qualification + English B2. Previous business experience is not required.
Tuition fees: No fees for EU/EEA students. Non-EU/EEA: €9,500 per academic year — scholarships available.
