Erasmus+
The EU’s Erasmus+ programme (the European Union’s programme for education, youth and sport) includes EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Turkey and North Macedonia (and Switzerland).
The programme aims to raise the quality of higher education. Its objective is to encourage higher education institutions to engage in international cooperation and to increase the mobility of students and teaching staff. The programme seeks to promote openness and better academic recognition of studies and qualifications across Europe.
All universities and universities of applied sciences, as well as their students and teaching staff, may participate in the programme, and the programme covers all higher education fields and degree levels.
Within the Erasmus+ programme it is possible to go on student exchange or internship. Exchanges are based on bilateral agreements and their duration is 3-12 months.
Team Finland Knowledge (TFK) programme
The Team Finland Knowledge programme aims to establish and strengthen cooperation between Finnish higher education institutions and the selected target regions and countries of the TFK network, and to develop new operating models for cooperation. The programme funds higher education institutions’ educational cooperation through cooperation and mobility projects.
Nordplus
The Nordplus programme aims to promote broad and intensive cooperation among higher education institutions in the Nordic and Baltic countries and to enhance mobility for both students and teaching staff.
North2North
North2North is a student exchange programme maintained by the UArctic higher education network that offers students opportunities to study at higher education institutions in northern regions. Studies within the North2North programme are closely related to issues concerning northern regions.
Bilateral agreements
Laurea also has bilateral agreements with foreign higher education institutions, particularly outside Europe, that are not part of any exchange programme.
Intensive study periods
In addition to long exchanges, it is possible to participate in intensive study modules that are planned and implemented together with foreign higher education institutions so that students and teachers from several countries participate in the same course, either virtually or physically.
