Ordering a student ID card for social services and health care placement

Student placement ID card

Degree students in social services and health care must wear an institution-issued photographic ID card while on placement. The use of the ID card follows the recommendations of the placement provider and the workplace supervisor. Remember to order your Laurea ID card well in advance of the placement. Delivery by post can take a few weeks because orders are not processed individually.

The ID card is for placement only and must be visible while you are at the placement. The ID card is not a student card and does not contain a chip or other functionalities. The card’s validity period is the same as your study entitlement period.

ID cards are primarily picked up from the campus. Select mailing only if you are unable to pick it up.

Photo for the card

The photo attached to the card must be appropriate, in color, and a recognizable headshot with a light background. Distorted selfies are not recommended and the face must be fully visible. You may smile in the photo.
