Below you can find instructions on how to add or remove studies in Pakki, schedule studies that are in your PSP and send messages concerning the studies in your PSP.
Adding studies to your PSP
- Go to the Study selection tab of your PSP.
- Select the magnifying glass button (“Add studies”) at the module heading under which you want to add studies.
- Study search window will open where you can search for the study you want by its name or code. If the search returns several studies with the same name, select the one that is offered in the valid curriculum (Course Guide).
- Select studies by clicking “Add to basket”. You can select multiple studies the same way.
- Export the selected studies to your PSP by clicking “Add selected to PSP”.

Removing studies from PSP
On the Study selection tab there are two actions next to the names of study units: hiding studies from the Overview tab and removing studies from the PSP entirely. Hide a study by clicking the x button (Hide study unit) after the name of the study. Remove a study by clicking the trash can icon after the name of the study.
You can only remove or hide optional or elective studies on your PSP. A study can only be removed or hidden if there is no evaluation or enrolment for it.
If you accidentally remove the wrong study from your PSP, you can add it back with the Add studies function (magnifying glass button). You can restore a hidden study by clicking the Show study unit button. After that the study will also reappear on the Overview tab.

Scheduling studies
Studies are scheduled to semesters on the Timing tab of your PSP. If you are a new degree of path student, you already have your own curriculum’s timing plan for core competence studies as a default. However, it is possible to edit the default timing if necessary.
Schedule a study by selecting it from the PSP structure on the left side of the page and drag it from the cross button onto the timing plan. You can edit the timing of an already scheduled study by grabbing the study on the timeline and dragging it to the desired semester. To schedule studies to be completed in summer, click the Show summer periods button. Summer studies are displayed in both the spring and summer semesters.
You can remove the timing by dragging the study on the timeline back to the PSP structure on the left side of the page.

PSP messages and PSP approval
You can send your tutor teacher a message concerning your PSP to confirm that a study unit fits your study plan. Sending a message is done by selecting Send a message from PSP from the top corner of the PSP.
You can submit your PSP for approval by choosing the Send for approval button from the top right of the PSP if your tutor teacher asks you to do so. Select your tutor teacher as the recipient and add a message.
The PSP is reviewed during the PSP discussion. Your tutor teacher will provide instructions on the practices related to approving the PSP.
