Laurea uses thesis contract package for Universities of Applied Sciences. This package of thesis agreements has been prepared in the Open RDI Activities, Learning and Innovation Ecosystem project of the Universities of Applied Sciences funded by the Ministry of Education. The agreement has been adapted to Laurea’s operating model. The documents in the agreement package are intended to assist with research and development type theses, where it is necessary to agree, for example, on matters related to data management and rights. Please discuss with your supervisor before using the documents if you are unsure of their purpose or content.

The Thesis agreement package contains the following parts:

Thesis agreement

General terms and conditions of thesis agreement

Agreement on the transfer of rights to use material in further studies

How to use?

Download the templates to your computer and fill in the fields. The agreement package is not suitable for theses carried out in externally funded projects because of the terms of those contracts.

More information about the agreement kit

This thesis agreement package has been prepared in the Ministry of Education and Culture (OKM) funded Open RDI Activities, Learning and Innovation Ecosystem project for Universities of Applied Sciences.

The package has been prepared by a working group: lawyer Liisa Sippel, Turku UAS, lawyer Annamari Turunen, University of Eastern Finland/Savonia UAS/Karelia UAS and lawyer Päivi Ervast, Lapland UAS. The document templates in the package have been widely reviewed across the universities of applied sciences network. The working group has processed the feedback received from the network and revised the document templates based on that feedback.

At Laurea, a working group prepared the adoption of the agreement kit in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
