Laurea’s student social counsellor offers guidance and conversational support to both new and continuing students. Contact us when you need help adapting to higher education, progressing in your studies, or balancing studies with other parts of your life. Discussions can cover, for example, questions related to arranging studies, employment, or family situations.

The aim of the guidance is to support your well-being, strengthen your resources and help find practical solutions to different situations. Together we can review options, identify your strengths and look for ways that support the smooth progress of your studies even in challenging life situations.

You can receive support with unfinished assignments as well as coping with challenges in learning, stress and performance anxiety.

Guidance is individual meetings, in small groups meetings and in connection with study units. Conversations are confidential, and they aim to find solutions that suit you. The student social counsellor does not write statements to students.

Services of the student social counsellor are available to the degree students Laurea:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students
  • Path students
  • Students of separate admissions and commissioned education groups

The aim is to understand stress management, holistic well-being and to share peer support. In addition to theoretical knowledge, we use creative methods.
