The assessment framework has two levels of difficulty, difficulty level I and difficulty level II. The assessment criteria can also be printed from here. A difficulty level is defined for the module/course/project before implementation begins. Competence in the assessment framework’s difficulty levels is described for levels H/1, 3 and 5. The resulting competence is assessed holistically. Good competence (3) also requires achieving satisfactory competence, and correspondingly excellent competence (5) also requires meeting the assessment criteria for satisfactory and good competence. If the competence does not fully reach the good level but meets the criteria for the satisfactory level, the grade is 2. Similarly, a student receives grade 4 if the competence is at a good level but not yet excellent in all respects.
There are separate criteria for thesis evaluation.
In the evaluation of language studies, Laurea’s common assessment criteria and the language proficiency level descriptions of the Common European Framework are applied.
