Project background

The COVID-19 pandemic placed a significant strain on workplaces and employee wellbeing across many sectors. As organisations sought new ways to strengthen collaboration, trust, and resilience, the ELOISA project responded by bringing creativity, arts-based approaches, and wellbeing practices into workplace development. The project focused on micro and small-to-medium-sized enterprises in the Uusimaa region.

Project objectives

The project aimed to:

• Foster collaboration between companies, artists, and students in developing new approaches.
• Strengthen employee wellbeing and coping at work.
• Enhance community spirit, interaction, and trust within workplaces.
• Introduce practical creative and arts-based methods to support wellbeing.
• Increase understanding of the role of art and creativity in working life development.

Project activities

The project assessed the state of social capital within participating organisations and implemented a variety of creative interventions to strengthen workplace wellbeing and connectedness. Activities included creative workshops, wellbeing-focused environments for recovery and reflection, events and webinars, and the development of practical tools and methods to support workplace communities. The project also encouraged collaboration between businesses, artists, and higher education experts.
