We strengthen competence related to digitalisation and data management through research, development and education. We develop the capabilities of all professions and residents to operate in a digital society, taking accessibility and equality into account.

Digital basic skills and the specialised expertise of different professional groups support societal development, innovation and competitiveness. Laurea is a recognised educator and research actor in digitalisation and data management, which also attracts international experts.

Laurea is involved in developing proactive, automated and human-centred digital services for the public and third sectors.

Our expertise combines digitalisation, service design and organisational development so that services support smooth everyday life, inclusion and overall security.

Infrastructure-related solutions

At Laurea we participate in projects that develop and utilise new critical digital technology solutions (e.g. artificial intelligence, data, automation and robotics).

Our research and development work supports the anticipation and prevention of cyber and physical threats. Infrastructure-related solutions are developed as part of national and international ecosystems together with companies, authorities, research institutes, organisations and cities.

What do we offer to companies?

We support companies’ digital business, data economy and value networks through applied research and project collaboration. In particular, SMEs are supported in adopting digital ways of working and in developing solutions that address climate and environmental challenges. Laurea also operates as part of Finnish and global technology and competence ecosystems.
