LUOVA KASVU – Entrepreneurship, business and resilience in the creative industries
Luova Kasvu helps creative industry actors, such as entrepreneurs and freelancers, to develop their businesses and strengthen their ability to face changes in working life. The project offers flexible online training courses that support profitable growth, new ways of earning income and the utilisation of one’s expertise.

Actors in the creative fields often work alone and are simultaneously responsible for both the creative work itself and the development of their business. Many need to strengthen, for example, pricing, sales, commercialisation and financial skills. Recent major changes in the field, the project-based nature of work and fragmented revenue streams create uncertainty. The project responds to this by offering practical training that supports sustainable business and success at work.
Project objectives
- strengthen the business skills of creative industry actors, such as entrepreneurs and freelancers
- develop skills in commercialisation, sales and financial management
- help participants find new earning opportunities
- strengthen the ability to utilise artificial intelligence in business development
- support adaptation to change and flexibility
- create a nationally available continuing education model for the development of skills in the creative sectors.
Project activities
- we will build an online training package consisting of five modules
- we will provide training on entrepreneurship, financial management and new earning models
- we will teach how to commercialise skills, services and products
- we will provide practice in utilising artificial intelligence to grow business
- we will strengthen adaptability and change-readiness skills
- we will collect feedback and develop the training together with industry stakeholders.
Results and outputs
- the business and commercialisation skills of entrepreneurs and freelancers in the creative sectors will be strengthened
- participants will receive practical tools to develop their work and business operations
- the project will produce an online training package consisting of five modules
- the training will be built as a permanent part of Laurea’s continuing education offering
- the project will develop a nationally applicable training model for developing skills in the creative sectors.
