KAMUT – Signifigance, opportunities and value of non-governmental organisations in security and resilience of Finnish society

Background and objectives

The KAMUT project will map the role and function of Finnish civil society organisations in the implementation of the Finnish Security Strategy for Society from the starting points defined by the Prime Minister’s Office (research activities supporting decision-making of the Finnish Government). The project will also examine the constitutional conditions for the tasks carried out by civil society organisations and their economic value in relation to the Security Strategy for Society.

The tasks of Laurea UAS include, for example, gathering interview data in late 2026. The starting points and framework of the project arise from the strategic tasks of the YTS and how different civil society organisations relate to them. The results of the project will be reported in the Policy Brief in late 2026 and in a final report to be published in summer 2027.
