Activating your user account

You can activate your user account 5 days before your study period starts. Activate your account before the first day of school. If you don't have a Finnish Bank user ID, you can contact student affairs office.

If you have a personal Finnish Bank user ID, you can activate your user account in If you don't have a Bank ID, print, read and sign user policy and pick up your user information from student office.

  • Check that your personal information is correctly
  • Read Laurea's IT network and systems usage policy
  • Accept usage policy by marking "I accept the Laurea IT network and systems usage policy" -check box
  • Read password guidelines carefully
  • Write new password and repeat it
  • Click "Activate account" -button

When the activation is complete you will be redirected to your information page. Remember your user account/student number and test your login by signing in to MyLaurea again.

Activation with one time password

If you don't have a Finnish bank user ID, you need to activate your account with a one time password. You can get a one time password from your teacher, the student affairs office or by e-mail from Use your one time password to log in to any Laurea computer, with the username being your own student number, or log in to with your username ( and your one time password. In both cases you are prompted to change your password. If you are not prompted to change your password, on Laurea computer you can press ctrl + alt + delete and press ''change password'' from the menu that opens. On, you can do it through by logging in with student number and the one time password.
