You can apply through the separate application if you have completed your AMKoodari and AMKosaaja studies in any of the participating universities of applied sciences. You can still study during the spring of 2024, but the certificates of all of your AMKoodari studies must by attached to the application by May 6th 2024.

Please note that if you would like to have the AMK-osaaja studies accredited (core competence/mandatory) at Laurea, they should be completed in English.

Applying

You can apply through the separate application by filling out the application form at studyinfo.fi. The application period takes place April 22th - May 6th 2024.

You can apply if

  • you are eligible to apply for a Bachelor's degree (you have completed upper secondary school or Matriculation examination in Finland or abroad)
  • you have completed at least 30 credits of AMKoodari or AMKosaaja studies
  • you have at least B2 level of spoken and written proficiency in English.

Language proficiency is tested separately after the application period has ended, so a separate language certificate is not needed. Check the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for more information about the B2 level of language proficiency.

The language test will be held at the Leppävaara campus on May 30, 2024. The language test consists of a written assignment and an interview. All eligible applicants are invited to the language test.

Students are selected based on the amount of credits they have completed. In cases where several applicants have completed the same number of IT related AMKoodari or AMKOsaaja credits, candidates will be chosen by lottery.

Admission results will be published at Oma Opintopolku (studyinfo.fi) -service.

Information will also be sent to those who have been selected by email. Make sure your email has room to receive new messages, and be sure to check your spam folders as well.

Studies will begin in autumn 2024.

Tuition fees and grants for non-EU/EEA area degree students

Non-EU/EEA area students who have been selected for admission to degree programmes taught in English will be charged tuition fees.
