Asian Development Bank delegation visited Laurea
The delegation included both staff of the development bank and education experts from several different Asian countries.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation visited Laurea in September. The visit to Laurea was part of the ADB representatives’ trip to Finland, where they familiarized themselves with the Finnish education system and higher education.
The Asian Development Bank’s goal is to support sustainable, inclusive and resilient growth in the Asia and Pacific region. Founded in 1966, the development bank has 69 members, one of which is Finland. ADB aims to help countries in the Asia and Pacific region reduce poverty and improve people’s living conditions through financing, expertise and partnerships.
The delegation included both staff of the development bank and education experts from several different Asian countries. At Laurea, the guests were able to learn about Laurea’s pedagogy and the Learning by Developing model, RDI activities and cooperation with companies. Topics of discussion included the development of university education and student employment.
