The goal of the Valoa digiperustaitoihin Satakunnassa project is to increase the realization of inclusivity and educational equality by developing digital guidance services. These services aim to reach out to young people who are currently outside the realms of education and the workforce. Additionally, the project aims to enhance the digital skills and capabilities of the target group, enabling them to study and maintain the social relationships and interactions required for education and employment.

The main implementer of the project is Valo-Valmennusyhdistys ry, with Rauman Seudun Katulähetys ry and Laurea University of Applied Sciences as collaborating partners.

The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESR) as part of the actions implemented by the European Union in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation period is from December 1, 2021, to October 31, 2023.

 

Project Materials

The Valoa digiperustaitoihin Satakunnassa article collection (written in Finnish) describes low-threshold digital coaching and guidance, assesses the strengthening of participants' inclusivity and the significance of digital skills. It also includes a narrative from an Expert by Experience.

The Valoa digiperustaitoihin! coaching manual (written in Finnish) provides ideas and tips on how to strengthen the digital skills and capabilities of young adults in guidance work. The manual is suitable for guidance professionals in the non-profit sector who encounter young adults in their work and support them in their individual paths.

In the fall of 2023, the project organized four free online workshops titled "Introduction to Guidance work applications and games". The recordings of these workshops are available on the Valo-Valmennusyhdistys YouTube channel. Recordings are in Finnish.
