TOTTE – With Competence-Based Job Matching to Working Life and Forward in Life

Kirjoita hankkeen ingressi tähän.

Project Background

The project responds to ongoing transformations in society and working life that are rapidly reshaping competence needs and creating growing skills and labour shortages in companies. Digitalisation, sustainability, responsibility, and new operating models increase the demand for continuous learning and for the ability to identify and articulate one’s own competences as part of broader skills ecosystems. At the same time, an ageing workforce and a widening labour shortage challenge companies’ competitiveness and highlight the need to continuously develop employees’ skills to meet the requirements of a changing operating environment.

Project Goals

The aim of the project is to strengthen dialogue between education, working life, and other stakeholders so that education better responds to evolving labour market competence needs and transitions between education, employment, and continuous learning become smoother. In close cooperation with working life, the project develops and pilots ways to identify, articulate, and formally recognise skills acquired outside degree-oriented education, supporting personalised learning pathways, career planning, and employability. Through learning networks, core competence definitions, and foresight data, the project contributes to raising the regional skills level, developing education and pedagogy, and enhancing companies’ competitiveness and access to skilled labour.
