Teacher as an Expert in Modern Technologies
The project trained vocational upper secondary and liberal adult education teachers to use 3D technologies, virtual tools, and artificial intelligence in teaching. The aim was to strengthen teachers’ competencies and integrate modern technologies into everyday teaching practice.

Project background
The digitalization of industry and working life increases the need for competence in modern technologies. Many teachers lack up-to-date practical skills that could be utilized in teaching and in developing students’ competencies.
Project objectives
- To strengthen vocational upper secondary teachers’ competence in 3D technologies, virtual tools, and artificial intelligence
- To support teachers in liberal adult education in using modern technologies in teaching
- To help teachers apply new technologies in teaching and skills development
Project activities
- We designed and implemented a study module worth 15 ECTS credits
- We trained teachers in 3D printing, 3D scanning, AR and VR tools, and the basics of artificial intelligence
- We organized both in-person and online teaching days in collaboration with higher education institutions
- We guided teachers in applying the learned technologies in their own teaching
Key results and outputs
- The project increased teachers’ practical skills in modern technologies
- Teachers gained the ability to utilize 3D and virtual tools as well as artificial intelligence in teaching
- The project also produced a publication on teachers’ learning processes
