SaavutaÄly – Tekoälyosaaminen järjestöjen tukena muutoksessa

The Accessible AI -project supports third sector organizations in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and improving digital accessibility. The goal is to identify the skill development needs of associations, NGOs, and their partner businesses operating in the Uusimaa region, and to respond to these needs with a tailored program.

Project Background

The project focuses on the practical and ethically sustainable use of artificial intelligence to support the work of non-governmental organizations. The project is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized NGOs, as well as their employees and volunteers. Companies collaborating with NGOs are also welcome to participate. The project operates in the Uusimaa region.

Project Objectives

  • Identify skill gaps related to AI and accessibility in civil society organizations
  • Increase knowledge and understanding of how AI can support everyday work
  • Strengthen the capacity to apply AI for organizational development
  • Promote renewal through individual learning and the transfer of skills to organizations

Project Activities

  1. Networking Events
    Participants explore the potential of AI, assess current skills, and define themes for upcoming info sessions and workshops.
  2. Info Sessions
    Short online sessions that provide clear, applicable knowledge for non-profits on AI tools, communication, accessibility, and improving internal processes.
  3. Workshops
    Practical sessions for testing AI tools, sharing experiences, and co-developing solutions that can be applied directly in participants’ own organizations.
  4. Organizational Development
    Hands-on support for integrating new tools and spreading know-how within organizations. A peer network of developer organizations is also formed.

Results and Outputs

  • Participants’ AI competence improves and becomes part of everyday organizational practices
  • A growing network supports the exchange of best practices and collaborative development
  • Materials and tools developed during the project remain in use to support process improvements
