PALO - palvelulla ja osaamisella kasvuun
Posintra Development Company and Laurea University of Applied Sciences (UAS) addressed several current challenges of the social and welfare services in a project called “PALO”. The PALO project met the region’s growing need for welfare services and labour by developing new ways of operating between municipalities, third sector, entrepreneurs and educational institutions. The object of the project was to find out and experiment new ways to support customers with their own actions in health promotion.

The PALO project created novel kinds of learning environments (service platforms) based on an understanding of customers’ needs, experimental as well as entrepreneurial ways of action. At the service centers customers will receive low-threshold social and health care services on-site, online and delivered to their homes. The focus was on a self-motivated health promotion.
