Higher education in Paraguay lacks shared structures for curricula, credits and teaching competences. ModESPar addresses this gap to ensure consistent quality and better international comparability across universities.

Project objectives

For students: clearer study paths and transparent academic credits

For teachers: defined competence profiles and tools for professional growth

For universities: shared frameworks for curriculum development

For authorities: a common national basis for steering higher education

Project activities

• define and agree on a National Framework for University Education
• develop competence-based reference frameworks for eight degree programme
• simplement a credit system based on student workload
• measure and verify actual student workload using concrete tools
• define competence profiles for university teacherspilot training and micro-credential solutions
• organise workshops and open dissemination events
