CO2Jump – A Climate Leap into Partnership!

The Co2Jump project supports SMEs in strengthening the climate resilience of their business. The aim is to help companies reduce emissions, develop carbon roadmaps, and link climate actions to the climate goals of the City of Porvoo.

Project background

SMEs recognise the importance of climate action but need practical support to reduce emissions, apply for funding, and plan climate measures. At the same time, cities are looking for ways to engage companies in climate work. The project was launched to address these needs and to build an effective cooperation model between companies and the city.

Project objectives

  • Support companies in developing company-specific carbon roadmaps.
  • Support the planning and implementation of concrete emission reduction measures.
  • Increase understanding of funding opportunities for climate action, such as support for the energy transition.
  • Develop and implement a climate partnership model for cooperation with companies.
  • Strengthen the city’s role as a forerunner in climate action.
  • Create a low-threshold climate network for companies and other organisations.

Project activities

  • Trained SMEs on themes related to climate-resilient business.
  • Guided companies in developing carbon roadmaps and identifying emission reduction measures.
  • Presented funding opportunities to support climate investments.
  • Used the CELLL digital tool in company development work.
  • Built a climate partnership model for the City of Porvoo.
  • Brought companies together in networks to share experiences and solutions.

Project results and outputs

  • Companies developed carbon roadmaps and launched emission reduction actions.
  • Companies’ climate expertise and readiness to apply for funding increased.
  • A climate partnership model was created for the City of Porvoo.
