Research, development and innovation (RDI) activities at Laurea are integrated as part of university teaching. In the learning environments of the Leppävaara campus, development projects are implemented together with the students, personnel, enterprises and other collaborative partners.

Directions and parking
The Leppävaara campus is in an easily accessible location in Espoo. The campus is located near the junction of the Kehä I ring road and the Turku motorway. Of the public transport options, the easiest way to get to the Leppävaara campus is by local train. Leppävaara is also accessible by bus, and for instance bus line 550 also runs along Kehä I. Both the Leppävaara railway station and the bus terminal are a short walk from the campus.
The Leppävaara campus has designated parking spaces for guests and personnel behind the Finnish School of Watchmaking, next to the main door, and behind the campus under the canopy on the side of the Reebok Arena. Parking spaces reserved for Laurea can be used by those displaying a parking permit available from facilities superintendents.
Students and guests can freely use the parking spaces of the Leppävaara Sports Park and the Rebook Arena with a parking disc.
Accessibility
There are three disabled parking spaces in front of the main door. Easy access is available from street level through the main door as well as two entrances in stairway B on floor 0. Stairway B has a lift which goes to all floors in the building. There is one disabled access toilet in connection with the main lobby of the first floor, and two are on the ground floor in connection with the entrance to BarLaurea.

At the Leppävaara campus it is possible to complete bachelor’s degrees in the following programmes:

- Degree Programme in Restaurant Entrepreneurship
- Degree Programme in Business Information Technology
- Degree Programme in Security Management
And master's degree in:
- Degree Programme in Service Innovation and Design
All subjects can be studied in Finnish and English. In addition to foreign students studying for a degree, Leppävaara has many exchange students, which is why an international atmosphere prevails on campus.
On the Leppävaara campus it is possible to complete a master’s degree in the following fields:

Learning environments and services on campus
Learning environments linked with service business activities and security, of which the Leppävaara campus has several, and which also offer placements for about 40 Finnish and international research trainees, stand out in international research and development activities.
BarLaurea is an innovative learning environment and development centre for services. The Leppävaara Campus has extensive restaurant and events services. BarLaurea comprises a lunch restaurant, a cafe, an á la carte restaurant, as well as conference and lobby services. The activities of BarLaurea are integrated into study units, and students have a central role in producing its services. The lunch restaurant offers lunch at a special student price for those with a Kela meal subsidy card or a student identification card.
Laurea Events is Laurea's own events office serving both Laurea and outside clients. Laurea Events organises international seminars, congresses, recreation days, celebrations, and marketing events in cooperation with the students. Laurea Events also supports the students' own skills and knowledge in event services, which are needed regardless of their field of education.
The Laurea Library has a branch in Leppävaara which focuses on scientific and professional literature.
