The Vantaa and Kerava welfare area (VAKE) provides social and health services for approximately 280,000 residents.

Collaboration with Laurea
The Vantaa and Kerava welfare area and Laurea collaborate in many ways. VAKE participates as a partner in, for example, Laurea’s Lempeä Hoiva project. The welfare area also offers Laurea students internship and job opportunities as well as joint projects.
- The Vantaa and Kerava welfare area has collaborated with students in studies, e.g., related to recruitment.
- Collaboration has also been carried out with students from different fields in work placements and theses.
- The Vantaa and Kerava welfare area is also a partner in several RDI projects.

The Vantaa and Kerava welfare are as an organisation
The Vantaa and Kerava welfare area (VAKE) provides social and health services to about 280,000 residents. In addition, rescue services are produced for Vantaa and Kerava as well as for the Central Uusimaa welfare area — a total of approximately 470,000 residents.
About 5,400 experts and professionals work in the welfare area across six different service areas: services for children, young people and families; adult social work and disability services; services for the elderly; healthcare services; corporate services; and the Central Uusimaa Rescue Department.
