Valtion koulukodit are national service providers of demanding substitute care and basic education requiring intensive special support.
Collaboration with Laurea
Experts from the Valtion koulukodit have visited Laurea’s studies, such as the “Special expertise in substitute care” and “Advocacy work in the social sector” studies. In addition, cooperation takes place in internships and recruitment.
Valtion koulukodit have collaborated with students especially through work placements and theses.
Valtion koulukodit as an organization
Valtion koulukodit provide special care services that can ensure the treatment, care and education of children and young people in the most difficult life situations and those with the most challenging symptoms. The school homes are specialized in producing services where substitute care and special education form a rehabilitative whole.
Valtion koulukodit operate in five different units, with a total of 107 care places.
