Western Uusimaa Welfare Area (LUVN)
LUVN provides social and health services, rescue services and student welfare psychologist and school social worker services across the territory of ten municipalities.

Cooperation with Laurea
Each year more than 1,000 students from various fields work as trainees at LUVN. The welfare area is also the workplace for many social and health professionals who graduated from Laurea. Laurea students from different fields have carried out several projects in cooperation with the Western Uusimaa Welfare Area.
- Students from different fields have completed several internships and theses at LUVN.
- Cooperation has also taken place in the studies of various programmes.
The Western Uusimaa Welfare Area as an organization
The Western Uusimaa Welfare Area provides social and health services, rescue services and student welfare psychologist and school social worker services to the residents of Espoo, Hanko, Inkoo, Karkkila, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Raseborg, Siuntio and Vihti.
The Western Uusimaa Welfare Area has almost half a million residents and around 10,000 employees. LUVN is a bilingual welfare area where the proportion of residents who speak other languages is also significant.
