HKFoods is a Finnish food company with over 110 years of history.
Collaboration with Laurea
Laurea and HKFoods have been key partners since the beginning of 2023, but diverse collaboration between Laurea and students has continued for several years before that. Several Laurea graduates (restonomes) work at HKFoods and the company aims to introduce future career opportunities to students.
- HKFoods has organized product testing days in cooperation with the BarLaurea teaching restaurant at the Leppävaara campus.
- Laurea students have been involved in implementing events with HKFoods, for example the Gastro Helsinki event for food professionals.
- Collaboration has taken place on study modules, for example with safety, security and risk management training.
- Students from various fields have collaborated with HKFoods in internships and theses.

HKFoods Plc as a company
HKFoods aims to grow into a versatile food company and strengthen its market position in changing markets together with its customers.
HKFoods focuses on strengthening its position and growth in existing and new product categories and sales channels. Key sales channels are the developing retail trade and the growing food service channel.
HKFoods’ domestic market is Finland and it has around 3,000 employees.
