Eckerö Line
Eckerö Line is a Finnish shipping company that provides passenger and freight services on the Tallinn–Helsinki route, including regular ferry, cruise and freight operations.
Collaboration with Laurea
In the key partnership between Eckerö Line and Laurea the objective is to build diverse and long-term cooperation. Initially, Laurea’s and Eckerö Line’s collaboration will begin in the form of student projects and theses as well as expert visits in Laurea’s studies.
- Eckerö Line has carried out long-term collaboration in student projects, in which, over several semesters, among other things the company’s personnel management has been developed.
- Other student projects have also been carried out related to, among other things, safety, security and risk management, marketing and events.
- Eckerö Line has been one of the partners in Laurea’s Future Management Expert training.
As an employer, we want to stay up to date with students’ expectations related to working life and, for our part, act as a link to working life for them.

Eckerö Line as a company
Eckerö Line Ab Oy, part of the Rederi Ab Eckerö group, is a Finnish shipping company founded in 1994 that provides passenger and freight services in regular route, cruise and freight traffic between Tallinn and Helsinki. Both of Eckerö Line’s vessels, m/s Finlandia and Finbo Cargo, operate on the Helsinki–Tallinn route under the Finnish flag.
Eckerö Line has approximately 500 employees.
