Orientation days 2026
Autumn Semester: 17-21 August
We strongly recommend that all incoming exchange students participate in the orientation days. If you are absent, please contact International Services: intl.info@laurea.fi.
The orientation days are designed to help new incoming exchange students to settle in and start their studies at Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Orientation days include important information such as university practices, student services and information about housing.
Please note that Laurea campuses will be closed on August 11 and 14 due to staff training days.

Public Holidays
Finnish holidays combine Christian traditions with unique local celebrations, such as Easter, May Day, Midsummer, Independence Day, and Christmas.
Many holidays highlight seasonal changes, with Midsummer marking the summer solstice and May Day celebrating the arrival of spring with nationwide festivities.
