This year’s first joint application period has ended – almost 5800 applications to Laurea

The application period for our higher education degree programmes offered in English ended on Wednesday, January 19th. According to preliminary statistics, about 5 800 applicants applied to Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
The number of applications submitted to Laurea during this year’s first joint application period increased by approximately 44% compared to last year, as about 4 000 applicants applied to Laurea in last year’s first application period.
Laurea offered 261 study places for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes during this application round. The most popular Bachelor’s degree programme was Business Management with over 1 000 applicants.
Nursing and the Degree Programme in Business Information Technology, Cyber Security were also very popular. Nursing was the most popular degree programme last year, and this year it attracted even more applicants (965 applications).
The most popular Master’s degree programme this year was the Master’s Degree Programme in Global Health and Crisis Management with over 300 applicants.
