Alum of the Year
The Alum of the Year award is granted annually to to a Laurea alum who highlights Laurea and the expertise gained here in working life and society. The award was first presented in 2008.
Laurea Alum of the Year
The Alum of the Year recognition has been awarded since 2008 to a graduate of Laurea who makes Laurea and Laurea’s expertise visible in working life and society. The recipient serves as a source of inspiration for our students and other alumni. In selecting the Alum of the Year, the following factors are among those considered advantageous:
- The alum has succesfully utilized the expertise acquired at Laurea in working life and society.
- The alumn has actively participated in Laurea’s networks and activities.
- The alumn serves as an example of lifelong learning and the diversity of career paths.
- The alumn supports Laurea’s student community and alumni by sharing their experiences and expertise.
The Alumnus of the Year may be nominated by all Laurea graduates, current students, Laurea staff, as well as Laurea’s partners and stakeholders. The Laurea alumni activities working group reviews the nominations and makes a proposal to the rectorate, which makes the final selection.
