Retaking national exams for nursing students (YleSH-exams)

Unlike other retakes, national YleSH exams for nursing students have specified retake dates. Retakes are usually arranged once a month, on Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The YleSH exam can be taken only at the campus of the implementation on separately specified retake days.

Registration

  • Register for the retake using the registration form at least 10 days before the event. Registration closes at midnight on the last registration day.
  • Fill in the registration form carefully. The teacher may reject the registration if the information is incorrect or if you do not have the right to a retake. Therefore, first check in Pakki which study unit has the failing grade as well as the name of the failing component. Also, check the correct retake day from the implementation plan.
  • If the retake concerns a component of a study unit, remember to write the name of the component being retaken on the form.
  • When you have completed and saved the registration form, you will receive an email confirmation of your registration. The teacher will also receive an email notification of your registration. If the teacher rejects the registration, they will inform you by email.

Instructions for the retake session

  • Please arrive for the YleSH exam at least 15 minutes before the retake session begins.
  • You must bring your own computer and a photo ID.
  • Please allow sufficient time for the session. There may be many participants, and the initial preparations may therefore take a while.
