Purpose of the processing
The purpose is to provide the Google Google Workspace for Education service as a support service for studies and cooperation.
The right to access the service is tiedto the right to use the user ID.
Admitted students with a valid right to study and employees in an employment relationship with Laurea may use the service. In addition, a person who has been granted a Laurea University of Applied Sciences user ID and has activated it may use the service.
The use of the service is based on the person's consent and it is voluntary.
Information contained in the data file
By approving the transfer of user data, you approve the disclose of the data necessary for the use of the service. This information comprises the user’s first name, last name, user ID and e-mail address.
In addition, you can add other personal information in the service as you wish. You may also upload and share information and material you want via the service in accordance with Laurea's guide for processing information materials.
Regular sources of information
The user data is transferred from the database of Laurea University of Applied Sciences
In addition the users can enter their own data into the service.
Regular disclosure of data
​Servers used by Google Ireland Limited and Google Inc. ( ‘Google’) and its subcontractors may be located outside the EU/EEA. By starting to use the service, the user consents to regular disclosure of user data outside the EU/EEA.
Data protection principles
Use of the Service is subject to Laurea's security and privacy policies and the principles of protection pursuant to the Google Agreement.
Laurea processes personal data with care and good data processing practice.
The Google privacy statement is available to all users in Laurea’s user ID management system.
Rights of the data subject
Right of inspection
You can check the license information you provided by contacting Laurea ServiceDesk at servicedesk@laurea.fi.
Withdrawal of consent and deletion of data
You can revoke your access to Google Workspace for Education on MyLaurea, after which you will no longer be able to sign in with your Laurea ID. However, deleting your license will not delete your Google Workspace for Education account. If you wish to delete your Google Workspace for Education account, you must contact Laurea ServiceDesk at servicedesk@laurea.fi. After that, the information in the service will be deleted in accordance with Google's Terms of Service.
Before terminating or expiring the right to use the service, transfer the information stored in the service related to Laurea's operations to a mutually agreed storage location.
Rectification
The controller must, without undue delay at its own initiative or in response to the data subject’s request, erase or complete personal data in the register that is incorrect, unnecessary, incomplete or outdated with regard to the purpose of the data processing

You have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority.
