Our publications highlight the competence and activities of Laurea’s students and staff in different fields, including research and development, ventures and student projects. True to the open access principle, most of Laurea’s publications can be accessed freely online.
Laurea Publications
Laurea University of Applied Sciences issues a series of publications called Laurea Julkaisut I Laurea Publications. The publication series includes, for example, project reports and results of research and development work. The publications are authored by both Laurea’s staff and project cooperation partners. The ISSN of the series is 2242-5241 (print) and 2242-5225 (online). Each publication in the series also has an individual ISBN identifier.

Laurea Journal
Laurea Journal is Laurea’s own online magazine that features articles dealing with project work, student collaboration and internationality from various perspectives. The articles are written in either Finnish or English. Laurea Journal is published on an ongoing basis, which means that new material comes out at regular intervals.
Publication of self-archived staff articles
Laurea deposits articles written by its staff in the Theseus publication archive, in compliance with the rights granted by the publisher.
Guidelines for researchers
The guidelines deal with topics such as publishing, open access procedures, parallel publishing and open science and research at Laurea. They are geared towards Laurea’s developers, researchers and publishers. The guidelines also offer supportive guidance and tools for the writing process.
