Talent Helsinki

The aim of the project is to attract foreign experts working in the field of labor shortages, especially to companies in the Helsinki region, and to facilitate the establishment and integration into the labor market of international experts and their families already in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The aim is also to strengthen the role of International House Helsinki, established in 2017, as a center for Talent Hub activities and network cooperation in the Helsinki metropolitan area, to adapt the network of services provided to international experts into a unified customer-oriented entity, develop regional and national coordination. The project is functionally and thematically divided into three different sections: 1) Attracting international experts 2) Support for the establishment of international experts and families 3) Support for the employment of international professionals. Laurea's share in the project is related to supporting the employment of international professionals.

In the project section, the working life connections of international degree students, researchers and recent graduates studying at universities in the Helsinki metropolitan area will be strengthened, and action models supporting employment will be further developed by developing co-operation between companies and cities and educational institutions. The project section also creates service paths for international students that meet their needs.

The main measures of the project section are:

  1. Cooperation between educational institutions and companies supporting the employment of international experts
  2. Further development of the JobTeaser portal.
