Test your service idea in international markets

In the Spinning Pilots project, we are looking for ideas and solutions that are trying to solve one or several of the following challenges:

  • how might we increase physical activity in everyday life
  • how might we enable people to take their health and well-being in their own hands and to manage them
  • how might we support active independent living of the elderly

The chosen ideas or solutions will be co-created and tested in the international markets. The proposals have to match with the identified needs of the target market. In addition, there have to be a way to test them without integration to the special health care or to the health care systems of professionals.

Three proposals will be selected based on their suitability for piloting in the project. A testing partner will be chosen for each pilot from the international target market. The implementation of the pilot will be planned together with the project, company and the testing partner (Living Lab). The testing partner is responsible of the implementation of the pilot.

Call for ideas is open on 13.10.–27.10.2017. Three pilots will be selected. The implementation of the international pilots will be purchased with project funding from the EU region or elsewhere as a professional service. The monetary support for one pilot is maximum 8.000 euros. The support will be granted as de minimis aid. Piloting takes place either in the end of 2017 or during the spring 2018.

Health Tech companies, startups, communities, research teams and other small actors in Uusimaa region can participate in the call.

The pilots will be chosen based on the following criteria: strategic fit, suitability of an idea for the challenge/s, innovativeness, resources for implementation, and viability of testing in the project framework. The selection will be done during November 2017.
