Collaboration with Laurea
Laurea and Suur-Seudun Osuuskauppa SSO have collaborated for a long time. The collaboration took a concrete form when Laurea’s new campus was opened in the summer of 2019 in the premises of Kauppakeskus Lohe, completed in downtown Lohja. The campus has enabled a variety of cooperation, such as organizing events. Students have also been invited to join the shopping centre’s management team.
Students in Laurea’s business studies have completed numerous theses and internships at SSO.
In the management team and in the collaboration as a whole, the aim is to create win-win situations in which students can gain valuable experience in the retail sector in a real environment.

SSO as a company
SSO is a local cooperative that operates in western Uusimaa and in the Salo sub-region across eight municipalities. SSO has over 70,000 customer-owners, whom it serves in more than 80 outlets in grocery and department store retail, service station retail, hospitality and restaurant trade, and car sales.
SSO employs around 1,200 professionals.
