Accessibility at Leppävaara campus

Arrival and parking

Accessible access to the Leppävaara campus is possible via two different entrances. From the main entrance you arrive in the ground floor lobby. The main entrance doors are not automatic and there is a threshold at the door, which has a threshold ramp. Opening the heavy doors may require assistance from a mobility aid. It is possible to reach the basement elevator lobby via the B-staircase entrance. There are no thresholds at that door. The doors are not automatic. 

The entrance forecourts and vestibules are level. The main entrance is partly covered.

The Leppävaara campus has three accessible parking spaces. The accessible parking bays are located near the covered walkway at Vanha maantie 9, Espoo. The covered walkway leads to the main entrance. The accessible parking spaces are the ones in the parking area closest to the main entrance. All accessible parking spaces are marked with wheelchair symbol signage and one has a wheelchair symbol painted on the asphalt. 

Drop-off traffic can drive directly in front of the main entrance at Vanha maantie 9, Espoo. 

There is a canopy in front of the door under which drop-off vehicles can wait.

Indoor facilities

The office of the coordinators for facilities and lobby services serves as the info and service point. From the main entrance, walk towards the lobby café and turn right at the café. After the turn, continue straight along the corridor past the campus park. The office of the coordinators for facilities and lobby services / Info is located immediately on the left wall after the campus park.

From an accessibility perspective, the Leppävaara campus is largely barrier-free. All facilities are accessible. The campus has an elevator. The elevator serves all floors.

Laurea’s Leppävaara campus has three accessible toilet facilities. Two of the accessible toilets are located on the ground floor. The ground floor toilets are located near the lunch and teaching restaurants. The third accessible toilet is located on the first floor adjacent to the main lobby.
