'YPro Ukr - Business project study for Ukrainians' received a special grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture for the years 2022-2024 to increase and develop the educational offer for persons receiving temporary protection. The project consists of two parts.
The main goal of the project is to promote the higher education of Ukrainians staying in Finland due to the war. The project consists of two parts:
1) Project learning based HEI Business studies for Ukrainians. They take place at Laurea University of Applied Sciences' Hyvinkää campus as local and/or distance learning in autumn 2022 and spring 2023 free of charge.
2) The project creates a digital service to facilitate placement of foreign students in Finnish higher education and working life. For this purpose, the project uses the interviews to gather information about the career and study needs of students who have come to Finland and the challenges they face. Based on these, a digital service (MOOC, Application) will be planned, which will make it easier for university students coming to Finland to orient themselves and find their own student and career path.
The service developed in the project is intended to be rolled out to all Laurea units, 3AMK universities and possibly other entities offering related services with which the project is networked.
The project is financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland and the duration is August 1, 2022-July 31, 2024.
