Bridging the Gap between Student Competences and Working Life Needs - HEIComp
The project develops the teaching of five Brazilian and Paraguayan higher education institutions for working life cooperation. Development work is carried out concretely by piloting work life assignments and projects at target universities during study courses. Laurea supports partner universities by training teachers and working life partners in the implementation of studies and developing working life cooperation models. Learning objectives for the Training Programme - After completing the programme a participant is able to
- Adopt a new role of a teacher as a coach
- Master teaching methods that enhance learning in working life connected courses
- Conduct a working life connected course
Units & their learning objectives
1. Online Canvas Course 10 ECTS. Objectives: Internalize the philosophy behind the teacher as a coach mindset, master novel, innovative teaching methods and coaching tools.
2. Conducting WLC Course 15 ECTS. Objectives: Work in coaching, managing and leading roles in students` real-life projects, use effectively coaching tools, build and support student project teams; plan, conduct and evaluate a working life connected course.
3. Portfolio 5 ECTS: How I Coach a WLC Course. Objectives: Demonstrate the competence development from teacher to coach.
