Get Work Vantaa

Get Work Vantaa project aims to encourage SMEs to hire immigrants who can speak English. As the result of the project, a Work first operating model is created. The basic idea of the model is to support both the worker and the employer to find and shape work opportunities with a sufficiently low threshold. A mentor model is created in companies and tutoring activities to support competence development.

The Get Work Vantaa project develops low-threshold employment opportunities for newly established immigrants who speak English. The new Work First operating model is developed using service design methods. The operating model will be introduced in Vantaa from 1 January 2025, when employment services are taken over by municipalities.

A joint Career Coaching service for job seekers was offered in 2024 by Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The service ended on December 31, 2024.

Further information

The main implementer of the two-year project is the City of Vantaa. Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences are part implementers. The project is co-financed by the European Union and will end on 31 May 2025.
