Collaboration with Laurea
For years MediMattress has trained healthcare professionals and students in comprehensive evidence-based pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. Through the key partnership, MediMattress is ready to increase the number of trainings and to engage in educational cooperation with Laurea in its degree programmes and continuing education.
- MediMattress has collaborated with Laurea students in connection with the STOP pressure ulcer day. MediMattress has also visited to train students, especially in pressure ulcer prevention.
- In 2024 a shared showroom space was opened at the Tikkurila campus, which is used in both teaching and project activities.
It is important to us that Finland has excellent healthcare professionals who know their work well and know how to demand quality – now and in the future.

MediMattress Ltd supplies patient-safe, researched and functional medical devices to healthcare. Our most important product group is Carital®, intended for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
The common denominators of MediMattress Ltd’s business are patient safety, easing the work of healthcare staff and informal caregivers, and the global need for healthcare cost savings through preventive healthcare.
In 2020 MediMattress Ltd, together with its parent company Carital Ltd, became part of the British Direct Healthcare Group.
