First PIONEER Alliance newsletter published – explore current themes and upcoming events

Laurea is part of the PIONEER Alliance, formed by ten European higher education institutions working together to develop solutions for sustainable urbanisation and the renewal of European higher education. The first Alliance newsletter, published in November, brings together the latest updates, achievements and events from across Europe.

The newsletter highlights, among other things, progress in joint European course offerings and RDI collaboration presented at the EAIE Conference in Gothenburg, the alliance’s strategic meetings during the autumn, and the development of PIONEER's collaborative online international learning opportunities (COILs).

The newsletter also highlights Laurea’s International Week, which will take place in January 2026 alongside UraFest, an event for students, and the PIONEER Festival, aimed at increasing awareness of the PIONEER Alliance. The programme will include, among other things, an international panel discussion on regional ecosystem collaboration in Europe.

The PIONEER Alliance is steadily building a shared European framework for collaboration – the newsletter offers a way to follow the development work and future opportunities for partnership.
