Laurea's University-Business Collaboration seminar
We invite you to join us for a unique opportunity to explore how education can be effectively integrated with real-world challenges. This three-day seminar is designed for leaders and professionals from higher education institutions who are interested in developing innovative teaching practices and strengthening university–business cooperation.
Program Overview
Day 1 – Pedagogy and Impact
Gain insights into innovative teaching methods and their real-world impact. Learn about Laurea’s Learning by Developing (LbD) model and hear experiences from the HEIComp project.
Day 2 – Building Strong Partnerships
Discover how to create and sustain impactful partnerships. Hear inspiring insights and real-world experiences from Laurea’s key partners and stakeholders.
Day 3 – Hands-On Experience
Participate in student-led projects and engage in real-life project work. You will also have the opportunity to act as a project commissioner.

Laurea recognitions of excellence
The Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (Karvi) awarded Laurea the excellence quality label for higher education as a recognition of high-quality development work.
Laurea underwent an EFQM model-based evaluation on collaboration with Excellence Finland, focusing on its research, development and innovation (RDI) activities. As a result, Laurea star rating increased from four to five stars. Compared to other organizations in Finland assessed using the EFQM model, Laurea's results in all evaluation areas were at or above the median level.
Laurea is granted the Quality Label for Higher Education Institutions Supporting Elite Athletes by the Finnish Olympic Committee.

Laurea is part of the PIONEER European University Alliance
The PIONEER Alliance of ten European Higher Education Institutions aims to shape the future of inclusive, sustainable and resilient cities providing students and lifelong learners dedicated skills in a European environment.
The universities trains altogether over 130.000 students with more than 17.500 faculty and staff members on 33 campuses, 32 cities and 16 regions. All PIONEER partners are interested in the development of education and RDI activities focused on the future cities to serve societal issues and needs.
