40 hours over 5 days
To enhance trainers' professional skills in order to improve the quality of life of older people.
We invite you to participate in a Memory Trainers' training course. Participants who pass the exam receive a certificate and tools to work with. Certificated memory trainers have the right to conduct memory training on their own or as part of their professional occupation. They can also join the older people memory trainers' professional network leaded by NGO 65B (Estonia).
The one week course is based on the methodology developed by Czech Society for Memory Training and Brain Jogging (CSMTBJ). The course is conducted by trainers from NGO 65B which is certificated by EURAG Memory Training Centre. The course is organized by Laurea University of Applied Sciences and financed by Nordplus Adult 2016.
The course takes place at Laurea, in Leppävaara campus, between 9th and 13th of January 2017, and it ends with an exam. The daily work consists of the contact session and homework. The exam is entirely based on the exercises presented during the training.
We invite students, staff, volunteers from day care centres, community workers, teachers, counselors and all others who consider themselves involved. Age and education level is not an issue. Instead it is necessary to be proficient in English. We look forward to both men and women, young and elderly people to join our unique training session.
Full day sessions from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm during five days.
