3AMK Online Summer School for Master’s Students - Leadership Skills for a Changing World, 5 ECTS
Master Summer School ”Leadership Skills for a Changing World” is an international intensive online course (5 ECTS) for Master´s degree students. In 2024 the course will be organized in co-operation with three Helsinki Metropolitan area Universities of Applied Sciences: Laurea, Metropolia and Haaga-Helia (strategic alliance 3AMK). The intensive week is organized online from 20th to 24th of May at 14-17 o'clock, Finnish time.

Study themes and methods
The main topic of the course is leadership skills for a changing world. In 2024, we will focus on the following sub-topics:
- Inclusive Leadership through Collaborative Storytelling
- Coaching Leadership
- Driving Sustainability through Customer-Oriented Leadership
The 3AMK Master Summer School consists of the independent pre-assignments and the participation to the intensive week. The program of the intensive week features short talks by university faculty members and practitioners as well as workshops and team work to engage with the theme’s topics.
After the course, students are able to…
- assess their power intelligence
- facilitate and manage collaboration and conflict through inclusion practices
- understand the content of transformational leadership and its benefits
- understand own strengths and development points in the transformational leadership
- explain the concept of sustainability and its role in the marketplace
- discuss and evaluate the role of leadership in driving sustainable change
The course will be organized online, and it will be executed in English.

- Students get access to study platform Moodle by 22.4.2024
- Pre-assignment available in Moodle by Mon 22.4.2024
- Tech-help workshop: on 23.4.2024
- Pre-assignment deadline: 10.5.2024 at 16 o’clock Finnish time
- Intensive Program: 20.–24.5. at 14–17 (Finnish time), online
Enrolment prosess
The number of participants is limited. The selection of the participants will be decided based on the pre-assignment which will be available by Monday 22nd of April on the Moodle platform.
Before applying to this course, please make sure that you are able to participate the program during the whole intensive week. The lectures will be organised between 2pm and 5pm (Finnish time). After the official program, the students need to reserve some time for the group work (this is agreed between team members at the beginning of the course).
Please note, that this intensive program is for Master’s level students only.

There is no fee to this intensive course.
