Separate applications to Laurea based on Open UAS studies for full-time degree programmes
A person who has earned a minimum number of study credits in an Open University of Applied Sciences may apply to become a full time student through a separate application process. In order to apply, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements required to apply for a bachelor's or master's degree programme at a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Finland. Separate application process based on Open UAS studies for bachelor's degrees
A person who has earned 60 credits in an open university of applied sciences may apply to become a degree student through a separate application process. Studies completed in any university of applied sciences are eligible, but they must be open UAS studies and part of the degree programme that the person is applying for (e.g. Bachelor's Degree in Health Care).
In the autumn 2016 separate application round (16.11.-30.11.2016) it is not possible to apply for Laurea's bachelor’s degrees taught in English.
Separate application process based on Open UAS studies for Master's degrees
A person who has earned a minimum of 15 credits in an Open University of Applied Sciences Masters studies may apply to become a degree student through a separate application process. Applicants must also have eligibility to apply for a master's degree programme at a University of Applied Sciences (UAS). Applicants must have a suitable Bachelor's or Master's degree completed at a University or a University of Applied Sciences and at least three years of work experience from the same field acquired after the date of graduation on the degree. Work experience must be obtained no later than 31st December 2016 for the autumn application period.
Application period for study programmes in spring 2016 is 16th – 30th November, 2016 via www.studyinfo.fi. All studies must be fulfilled and registered by 31st December 2016.
Applicants must clearly indicate the following information in the application form: the total amount of credits received from Open UAS by 31st December 2016, degree that gives eligibility for the master's programme and work experience declared in months. Applicants who have studied in another Open UAS other than Laurea need to send their Transcript of Records by 30th November 2016 15:00 to the Laurea Admission Services. The Transcript of Records from the Open UAS can be sent via e-form to Laurea (link will open on 16th November 2016 at 8:00). If sending the required attachments through e-form is not possible, the applicant can also send them by post so that the attachments are at Laurea Admission Services by the 30th of November 2016 at 15:00:

Studies completed in Laurea Open UAS are checked from the Student Register.
All eligible applicants who have completed at least 15 credits Open UAS studies from the same field will be invited to the interview. The decision on admission is made based on the interview and study performance in path studies. The applicant must have at least 15 credits worth of master's degree studies that can be integrated into the degree in question from a university of applied sciences.
The interviews for the master's programmes will be held during the 5th-9th December 2016. Eligible applicants will receive a more information about accurate schedule closer to the interviews. During the interviews the applicant's completed studies in the Open UAS are checked, as well as the applicant's degree from a university of applied sciences or other higher education institution and work certificates.
The decision on the admissions is made by the Director of Master's Degree Studies at Laurea. The separate application study place decisions will be informed to applicants by Laurea Admissions Services via e-mail by 16th of December 2016 at the latest. Applicants must confirm the offered study place latest by 30th of December 2016 via www.studyinfo.fi.
